Page One - Spring 2004 to Present
Here you can find some of my completed
artwork, along with a short description of the piece. Click on a
specific picture to see the full-sized version (which will open in a new
window). I'll be putting more work up as and when I complete it. I'm
always looking for new projects, so feel free to email me with any ideas
for collaborations etc. Due to the increasing size of the gallery, I've
split it up into pages to save download time. You can still find my
older work on the following pages by clicking the link above.
Technique
All linework was hand drawn in HB/2B
pencil before being scanned and digitally coloured in Paint Shop Pro.
These pics are roughly in reverse
chronological order, the newest at the top and so on, so you can see the
practice paying off as I go along. The ones at the bottom of the last
page are from
autumn 2003, moving up as you go along to the present day.

"Cybergoth"
A work-in-progress design for a
black t-shirt, featuring a pierced goth/cyberpunky chara. |
|

|
"Pagan
Girl"
Another of my t-shirt designs,
probably my favourite of the bunch. It's one of the very few
pics that came out exactly as I wanted it. It's nice when
it happens, but it's a pretty rare occurence. |

"The
White Stripes"
Another anime-style portrait,
this time of Jack n' Meg from the 'Stripes. They get overplayed
so much these days it's easy to forget just how good a group
they are. If by some twist of fate you haven't heard much of
them yet, White Blood Cells and De Stijl are the
best places to start. |

"Weretiger"
A request I drew for my friend
Jax from a_pagan_journey. I think I could use a little
more practice drawing tigers, but for a first try it's okay.
It's supposed to represent two aspects of the same person, just
don't ask me why the tiger isn't pierced too... Artistic
license, okay? |
|

|
"Mergirl"
Just a quick little mermaid design I sketched out on a slow
evening. Not one of my favourites, but I like the use of colour. |
|

|
"Eldar
Warrior"
The first of a series of pics I'm submitting to Warhammer
Monthly for consideration. Seeing as they're looking for
freelance artists, I figured it's worth a shot. Used to be into
the whole gaming thing when I was younger, not so much now
though. I got higher priorities now, yeah? (wink, wink etc.) |
|

|
"Forest
Faery"
Another Faery pic, they're
starting to come together better now, I think. I tried some new
with the wings this time, a kind of silvered butterfly-wing
effect, I think it looks pretty cool. |
|

|
"Veruca
Salt"
My third shirt design, this
time a full group shot of the current VS lineup. Left to right,
it's James "Tasty J" Madla, Mareea Patterson, Stephen
Fitzpatrick and the delectable miss Louise Post. So Rock^_^ |
